Now that Christmas is over, we're starting to think about .... Valentine's Day!!! What are some of your BEST Valentine's Day recipes - especially to make with kids?

Here's a yummy cookie recipe to get you started:

CHERRY DOT COOKIES

Yield: Makes 5 dozen

2 1/4 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup margarine, softened

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 tablespoons skim milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts

1 cup finely chopped pitted dates

1/3 cup finely chopped maraschino cherries

1 2/3 cups corn flake cereal, crushed

15 maraschino cherries, cut into quarters

Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

3. In another large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture. Stir in nuts, dates and chopped cherries. Shape level tablespoons of dough into balls. Roll in corn flakes. Place on greased baking sheets. Top each cookie with a cherry quarter. Bake about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
